I think I did more running around this weekend than I have in a long time.
I do feel a little sore in the right hip but not too bad, but my knees are killing me.
Yesterday we went to the Jazz brunch at one of my favourite restaurants in midtown - Le Bateau Ivre. It always makes me feel like I'm back in France. Although for some reason in the winter it always seems too cold in there.
After that we headed downtown for some shopping and just wandered around Soho for a bit. Out of nowhere the clouds started to get very dark and it started snowing! It kept getting worse so we decided to go somewhere and just get a bottle of wine and relax, but came back uptown just to make sure we were not stranded in case the weather got worse. We ended up at another of my fav places, Uva. I love this place, we just hung out reading the times and relaxing for a long time. After all the walking earlier it was good to just sit for so long.
I am pretty happy with how well I held up. Can't say I could manage hiking in Europe quite yet, but I'm hoping it won't be too long before I can get going again.
